Meata combines her passion for social work with broadcasting. After studying sociology at university, she took up an internship at Search for Common Ground in Monrovia in 2007. She worked with the outreach department, traveling to the field to speak to Liberians about the issues and challenges they face. From there she went to the American refugee Council as an Educational Officer before moving back to Search for Common Ground to take on a full time job as an Outreach Worker. Her role involves interviewing women around the country to produce programs for community radio stations across Liberia.
