From investigative current affairs to human-interest features, Joanna has produced thought-provoking television packages, series and documentary films for CNBC, ABC and CNN. Her work has taken her all over the world, from the sands of the Middle East to the glaciers of Iceland.
In her free time, Joanna single-handedly produced, directed, wrote and edited Outbound Africa, a documentary in collaboration with Concern Universal that explored the potential for business engagement and development in Ghana. The program was granted air time on CNBC’s EMEA channel and became one of the network’s most repeated broadcasts. This endeavor sparked Joanna’s interest in West Africa and the opportunities to use journalism to promote far-reaching change.
Before moving to Liberia, Joanna was based in London. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, where she graduated as one of the top three students in her class.
