NN Executive Director Shortlisted for Australian Social Innovation Award

Prue-Glenna headshotNew Narratives is delighted our Co-founder and Executive Director Prue Clarke has been shortlisted for the Advance Global Australian Social Innovation award recognizing her work with us.

The Awards celebrate Australians and alumni from Australian universities living overseas who exhibit remarkable talent, exceptional vision and ambition. Prue was born in Australia and started her journalism career in the Sydney television newsroom at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation before going on to report for the Financial Times in New York and for various global media from Africa. Prue co-founded New Narratives with media manager Susan Marcinek in July 2010 after finding audiences in the UK, US, Canada and Australia knew more about the causes of Africa’s woes than the subjects of her news stories. By giving African journalists the tools they need to bring honest, factual information to their audiences New Narratives helps Africans drive change themselves.
